almost spring.

sandwich.
.
so i put my hands up!
oh nothing, nothing really. just getting excited because it's almost spring and i'm listening to brooke fraser and adele's 19 album (on vinyl) and coldplay (because i can) and watching pitch perfect over and over and over again and lifeguard training is actually fun and it's getting warmer outside (but not scorching, not yet) and i'm putting my trust in the Lord and i'm just feeling really good about things (including this massive run-on sentence), so. cheers to us, cheers to you.

-kiss kiss kiss, so i put my hands up-
{pea ess: any songs you've been loving recently? i'm looking to make a mixtape and i'm open to suggestions!}
{pea pea ess: a dear friend of mine and her best friend got married sunday! i am SO proud of them. do show some love.}

  1. run on sentences are the best, so is spring, so are those pictures, and so are your hands.

  4. So glad things are going well for you at the moment. I'm kind of the complete opposite right now... but life is still slowly moving along, and I guess I am with it. I keep looking ahead, knowing that better days will come, but it seems like such a faraway place. Mainly I'm just looking forward to this month being over, but also really really really looking forward to spring/summer, and looking forward to life. It's not exactly where I want it to be right now, and it's seemingly impossible to change it at the moment, but I have high hopes for the future. x <3

  5. You make me smile, Jocee. :) I love people who can be completely random and perfectly lovely at the same time. I also love people who not capitalize everything, and use run-on sentences and be okay with it.

  6. Oh goodness, Romeo and Juliet...and listening to Brooke Fraser and Adele?
    My dear Jocee, you have extremely good taste.

    (and I'm so glad the lifegard training went well.)

  13. I loved the picture of the sandwich! capitol y-u-m-m-y! My favorite songs for summer are both by Best Coast and you may not like their style and I didn't at first but I've somehow grown to love them the songs are, The Only Place and Summer Mood. I've also been listening to really random music, like One Day by Sharon van Etten, which is great!! I was just wondering, what are your favorite movies?

  16. Very nice post. :-)

    Just one suggestion: Maybe you should say that you were inspired to take that last photo because of Simi's {from 'in search of beautiful'} post? It really looks like you were trying to copy her.

    1. no, i wasn't trying to "copy" simi. i've just always wanted to do a "hands over my head" photo. and anyway, a lot of photographers do it, so i don't think it's meant to be "copying each other," just a fun pose. :)

  17. gah. THAT LAST PHOTO. asdfghjkl! As for music I've been loving Amanda Falk. (I can only find her music on grooveshark though... she isn't that popular, but her voice is ahh-mazing, and all her songs are so whimsical and pretty. And JJ Heller. Also these:
    Gold - Owl City (Brit Nicole's Gold is awesome too!)
    Something in the Water - Brook Fraser
    The Struggle - Tenth Avenue North
    Hide Your Love Away -Anthem Lights
    C.S. Lewis Song - Brook Fraser
    (okay, I'll shut up now.)
