the unforgotten frames.

there is nothing "forgotten" about these pictures. in fact, i want to remember them for a really long time. i just neglected to put them up. (which is so like me, by the way.) these are from my trip to michigan and illinois. i had a lot of fun. i don't know why i expected anything less.

street music.
i still can't fully grasp my trip in words. i haven't been on a plane since i was fourteen, and even though that's fairly recently i don't remember it much. now that i'm older and i'm returning to places i visited as a child, my memory has been refreshed. and i now know why i love it so much.
i think the only reason i was afraid is because of what happened last summer. and sometimes it's okay to be afraid.
sometimes the best thing is finding out you don't have to be anymore.

-kiss kiss kiss, can i be close to you-
{pea ess: i would've included the polaroids, but i don't know how to upload them on my mac.}
{pea pea ess: by the by, if you haven't noticed, i'm home from camp. and i have things to say about it. i just don't know what yet.}

xvi - xviii. these are my plants. their names are marcel, eponine, morticia and imogen. i love them a lot.

june has been one of the best months of my life. i graduated high school, spent a lot of money on a lot of different things
(including a new lens + tripod), and took naps. but things have been really hard lately. and i can't explain that.
at this rate, i'm just holding out for camp. only two more weeks.

"i'm going to take a selfie with your camera."
"okay."

i finished high school last week, so i decided to take pictures of my classmates so i'd remember them. this is kind of like humans of new york,
except you get to meet the people i spent almost everyday with. you get to see a little bit into my life, without having to see me.
and i think that's refreshing. and no, i don't know how it feels to not have school yet. i don't feel anything profound or a sense of relief.
i'm just... i'm kind of just here right now. and i guess that's okay.

i. grandma's patio by way of the guest room.
ii - vi. a series of quiet moments // part two.
vii. i finally took a walk.
viii. pretending i have a film camera.
ix - x. morning light in my room.
xi - xii. from my senior prom (say hi, joy).

all i know right now is that april was quiet enough to slip into may without my noticing. and i mind a little bit, because april was a nice month.
i laughed a lot more than usual. i spent a lot of time with my friends. and i've been spending more time with the One who gifted me this life.
i guess now, i press on toward finals (which are next week). i guess may gets to be as nice as april was.

-kiss kiss kiss, why a little-

a series of quiet moments.

what i look like between spurts of conversation, of laughter. people often mistake me for being sad, but i'm just solemn. i'm just thinking.
the house was too loud for my taste, so i slipped away to the guest bedroom and sat by the window for awhile.
all of these photographs are unedited. i didn't feel the need.

-kiss kiss kiss, true south-
{pea ess: i think it's time for a new blog design, don't you?}
